Dear WAGO Members and Friends,

 

The WAGO Executive Committee would like to bring you up to speed with updates regarding our organization and our plan for the future. There are 5 issues to specifically address:

 

  1. New Members: Under our recent transition to SGO management, staff is working diligently to solicit and recruit new members to the WAGO organization. Communication to nonmembers is being sent in the coming months to seek new applicants.

  2. Annual Meetings: A big thank you to all those who attended the 2011 Annual Meeting in Park City! It was a great success and we look forward to continued high-quality educational meetings.

    The 2012 Annual Meeting will be held June 27-30, 2012 at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach in Huntington Beach, California. Detailed information regarding this meeting will be available in late 2011.

    We are excited to announce the 2013 Annual Meeting has found a home at the W Seattle in Seattle, Washington, from June 26 -29, 2013. 

  3. Abstract submission: Dr. Bobbie Gostout will serve as the Program Committee Chair for the 2012 WAGO meeting. Please plan for an early deadline of March, 2012 for electronic abstract submissions; however, detailed information and the submission form will be posted on the website in late January, 2012. 

  4. Industry Support: Please extend the opportunity to support the Annual Meeting to industry professionals you work with in your practice. Should you have any leads on potential sponsorship or support, please contact Jenna Cummins and Mandy Marneris at wagogynoncadmin@wagogynonc.org.

  5. Dues: Based on our transition to SGO management, the Executive Committee has worked with staff to agree on an alteration in our membership dues timeline. Dues will now be billed on December 1 of each year, to be paid by January 31, and will be accounted towards renewal for the following year. For example, we will send the 2012 membership dues invoices on December  1, 2011, due by January 31, 2012.

    The dues requirement will remain at $100.00 per year for active members. Staff would also like to use this billing cycle as an opportunity to update your contact information, request emeritus status, submit spouse information, and various other items, please be sure to fill out the form accurately for our records.
